Owner and President
With a lifetime of industry experience, Joe brings a level of unmatched expertise to each project, no matter how big or small. Pair that with the fact that he first came to the island on ferry – and it’s safe to say he’s a lowcountry construction (and sailing) expert.
Mary Highsmith
Bookkeeper
For over 20 years Mary has overseen the majority of accounting functions for Highsmith Construction. You might say she does a whole lot of behind-the-scenes work that keeps Highsmith Construction running like a well-oiled machine. When not at her desk you’ll find her enjoying the great outdoors or playing with her grandchildren – or both.
Linnea Russell
Office Manager
The hustle and bustle of the windy city prepared Linnea well for the fast-paced job of managing our office. From working with clients and subcontractors to gathering bids for new estimates, Linnea is known for keeping us all on track, aka herding cats, day in and day out.
Chuck Scott
Superintendent
Chuck is the guy that makes sure projects keep moving along and is our expert problem solver. He is an invaluable member of the team and has risen through the ranks over his 20 year tenue with the company. An avid hunter you will find him in a deer stand whenever he can get away during hunting season.
